Hey, Thank you for your enquiry. Finding and speaking with a counsellor can make some people apprehensive, that's why I offer a free no obligation initial meeting where we can discuss your current situation, and look at strategies going forwards. It will also give you a chance to get a feel for what counselling is, and you get to ask any questions that you may have. This meeting lasts approximately 20 minutes there is no obligation to continue, and this meeting is free of charge. This meeting will be conducted in line with the BACP code of ethics in regards to confidentiality and the professional code of conduct that I practice. Please do not hesitate to book into my diary at a time that suits you. If you have any further questions or queries please do not hesitate to contact me. Kelly Please make sure that: *You have your computer or mobile set up before the session commences. This includes having your microphone and video turned on. *Turn off your mobile phone ring or mute, turn off Alexa, Siri, etc. *Your computer or mobile is positioned at a sensible height so that I can clearly see your face and that the camera is at eye level. *Please make sure you are in a quiet location. *You will not be disturbed for the duration of the session and that the door to the room you are sitting in is closed. *Being comfortable (use the bathroom before the session, have water/tea to hydrate yourself, dress appropriately, check your room temperature, lighting not just in the room but at your face – seating close by a window would help. *If you are using your computer, remember to have your mobile out of reach and with the sound muted so that it is not a distraction. *maybe have a box of tissues to hand. *You have not been drinking alcohol or taking drugs before any sessions where they may still be in your body. *You do NOT record the sessions. I will not be recording any of our sessions. *I will call you at the beginning of the session time, and if we are disconnected I will call back. *If you are the primary caregiver of a minor or another vulnerable person (child, elder, a person with physical or mental health disabilities), please make sure to plan to have someone to help you right after the session as sometimes, you might feel physically and/or mentally drained after the session.
